DPO support point Belgium
Our first open-house has happened.
In 2003 we became the first Belgian 'support point' of the Dutch Pinball Organization.
This means we will try to help members that have pinball problems, and a few times a year
we hold an open-house, so everyone can play our pinball machines.
With a few additional neighbors and friends who wanted to play, in 4 hours we had
24 visitors. Not bad, considering only 12 people had notified they would come and we
had said we would allow maximum 15 people in our house.. especially in the beginning
it was very busy, luckily soon some peopel went to sit downstairs to have a drink
and to talk.
I didn't make any pictures myself, it was too busy, luckily Pascal made some.
In the end everything was ready just in time. I had been very busy the previous weeks..
We had just installed the large room upstairs as a gameroom. All our pinball machines
had to be disassembled to move them up the stairs. Most still needed adjustments,
last minute I put some pieces of wood underneath the legs of Whitewater so it was steep enough.
I had just finished shopping Junk Yard the day before. In the morning I checked the
other machines, and by 12.30 I could start to assemble our Tommy that we had just
bought earlier that week.
The first two persons were already arriving while I was plugging in the last connectors..
Luckily the game did not have any technical problems so it could be played.
The pinball machines have been played continuous for 4 hours, the only problems were a weak flipper on TZ and MM..
