This is not a book about pinball machines, although one is featured even on the cover of this book.
This book is about the works of Charles Bell, a painter who became very famous for his photo realistic style.
He makes paintings of objects that resemble photographs, that's how detailed they are. Some of the objects are
marbles, dolls and other children toys. He also made a series about coin-op machines, such as pinball and gumball machines.
That's what makes this book so interesting for us pinball machine enthousiasts.
Mr Bell has a Bally Fireball pinball machine in his art studio. Some of his most famous paintings are closeup details of that Fireball. He also made paintings of other pinball machines such as a Wizard and Paragon.
