Pinball (in Argentina) a published by the Pinball Magazine. That's about where the common part ends, there couldn't be a larger difference between these books. Where the magazine is a softcover, filled with text, this is a hardcover coffee table book with almost only pictures. There's a handful pages with text, giving a short description that pinballs aren't common in Argentina. The book has this content in 3 languages and a translation in +10 other languages is available as a separate add-on.
The book gives an insight in the pinball scene in Argentina. But it's mostly a collection of photos.
Overview pictures, close up pictures, pictures of pinballs in warehouses, in houses, everything you can think of.
The quality of the book is good, pictures are of good quality. But it doesn't interest me much. I miss a story. If I see a closeup of a playfield art, I want to know what game it's about. If I see someone in his warehouse, I want to know the story. Who is he, how many machines does he have, that one machine what's the story behind it, where did he pick it up,.. these is the background information that would attract a reader and get him into the story. Which is something you miss as an international reader. I'm sure there's a very interesting story to be told, but now it feels too much as an unorganised collection of nice photos.
