This book is one of the oldest dutch books about pinball. Prices paid by (dutch) collectors are sometimes high, because it's an interesting book and due to its age, difficult to find.
The authors are a group of people, mostly of the Amsterdam region. One of them was the world champion pinball. The book has different parts, it talks about the history of pinball (for which they had received information from the USA), if it's a skill game, how to train, how to buy and maintain your machine. There are a lot of short stories by different the authors, the gist of some is 'we play a lot of pinball in bars', with pictures.
5 games are described: Fireball, Lady Luck, Gator, 4 million BC and Monte Carlo, including mentioning in what bars in Amsterdam they could be found.
It's an interesting book. Don't buy it to gain a lot of pinball knowledge, buy it because it gives a an insight in the pinball scene in the Netherlands and Amsterdam 50 years ago.
The excitement of rolling over the score is compared to another type of excitement..
